The Madison Flats are located on the 800 block of Madison Avenue in downtown Covington. This new development will include 13 one-bedroom apartments and five commercial storefronts. The Flats will provide affordable and desirable living in historic downtown Covington. Rents will range from $600 to $875 per month. We hope to fill the need for small, economical, yet beautifully designed apartments.
In conjunction with Hotel Covington, Braxton Brewery, and Duveneck Square, Madison Flats will help catalyze the renaissance of downtown Covington. Architecturally, the flats will have clean lines and simple floor plans. Aesthetically, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, modern cabinetry, and chrome fixtures will be featured. Pulling from European efficiency and style, there is nothing comparable in Covington. Off street parking and a shared courtyard enhance the development.
Covington’s startup community has grown considerably in the last five years. The commercial storefronts of Madison Flats will participate in rent subsidy programs, ideal for small startups. Provided by the City of Covington, commercial tenants will have the opportunity to have rent subsidized for one year and have payroll taxes refunded annually for up to five years.
